It has been an exciting few weeks at H.I.S. and we have had many reasons to celebrate, in addition to our successful start to the school year. Last week, students, families and staff joined together for the H.I.S. Community Fest. Face painting, bouncy castles (or monkeys), gladiator games and giant table football are just a taste of the activities plus delicious food and drinks from near and far provided by our families.

This week, we headed to the local running track for the annual Waldpiraten Run. This was the 17th year that we have walked, skipped and run laps of the track to raise funds for the local Heidelberg charity that provide holidays and adventure activities for children suffering with cancer. We are hoping that we can top the previous year’s collection and continue supporting the amazing work of the Waldpiraten Camp from the Deutsche Kinder Krebs Stiftung.
