We celebrated the Chinese and Korean New Year at one of the PTG coffee mornings, offering a unique opportunity to explore the traditions and customs of both cultures. Parents participated in traditional games, such as "Gonggi," and experienced the magic of shadow play, a long-standing tradition in both cultures.
At the delightful tea tasting experience, parents and teachers had the opportunity to explore traditional teas, learning about the unique flavours and customs associated with them.
There was also a chance of creating beautiful calligraphy characters with brush and ink.
All guests enjoyed typical New Year treats like Chinese Brown Sugar cake, spring rolls and Korean Man-Do, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity.
This event not only provided a deep dive into two fascinating cultures but also offered a wonderful opportunity for exchange and celebration. We thank everyone who contributed and look forward to more cultural highlights in the future!
